Hello, I'm Emma.

Hello, I'm Emma, and this is my story.

Over 10 years ago, I was a C-suite officer for a large international business, effectively ‘on call’ seven days a week, frantically juggling my family and business lives, trying to excel at keeping everyone happy. It had been like that for over a decade, so perhaps unsurprisingly, I hit a wall—mentally, physically, and emotionally. I’d been working too hard, juggling too many priorities, and giving time and energy to everyone but myself for too long. It was too much.

I realized that, while I was technically still getting it all done, it was coming at a huge cost to my personal health and well-being. I experienced a moment of absolute clarity in my life: I did not want the next 10 years to be like the past 10 years. I didn’t want my health to continue to deteriorate, I didn’t want to sacrifice my own dreams and needs for the sake of others, and I didn’t want to lose any more of myself.

Things had to change; I just didn’t know where to start.

Today, my work is fully aligned with my life's mission: to lift women up. I'm deeply passionate about enabling other women to live their true lives to the fullest and find ways to align their individual needs with their other roles and responsibilities.

Life’s a juggle—I get that. I’m also a mum to three daughters, aged 21, 18, and 8. Every day, I’m working at balancing the diverse needs of those around me with my varying work demands, while ensuring I never lose myself again. I’ve learned that everyone loses when that happens. I’ve also been through the pain of divorce but have found great happiness on the other side. I’ve been successfully co-parenting a blended family for over 12 years. Life sometimes comes at you from all angles.

Today, I actively live a life I’ve consciously built for myself. Most of my work is coaching and mentoring women. However, through my own journey, it became very clear that we cannot truly succeed professionally if our health and well-being are the price we pay. For that reason, in order to embed well-being into my own life, I qualified as a yoga teacher after the birth of my third daughter and, last year, qualified as a reflexologist.

Both of these skills enable me to further help lift women up—whether that's by providing relief from the grueling journey of chemotherapy (I’m qualified in reflexology for oncology) or boosting their belief and connection with their physical selves on the yoga mat. Sometimes my coaching and yoga & reflexology clients overlap, but often they don’t. I can be different things to different women—we are all that every day of our lives. What’s key is that our values remain consistent.

I am still involved in the business world because, quite simply, I love it! It’s a huge part of me, and I enjoy the challenge and stimulation it brings. It’s also why I love coaching women in career satisfaction. It’s encouraging to note how far we have come in the workplace, but there is still much work to be done to fully achieve not just equality, but environments in which women can truly thrive. When that happens, everyone wins.
